Ticket sales start - Tickets from 11 euros



Johannesburg - "The game in 2010 has kicked off." With this opening words of Danny Jordaan, CEO of South Africa's World Cup organizing committee, the start of ticket sales.
For the World Cup, from 11 June to 11 July 2010 held in South Africa, there will be three million tickets, about half goes to public sale. As in 2006, the award is planned carefully by FIFA.

     In the first phase insgesamt740.000 sale tickets will be sold. Compared to the 2006 World Cup is expected to slow, however, a more appropriate demand. "It would be very stupid of me to say that the global recession would have no impact on the world championship," said FIFA Honorary President David Will, who is responsible to the World Association for the World Cup ticketing.
